AMC Roosevelt Collection 16 Opens Today in the South Loop
AMC has purchased the ICON Theater located in the Roosevelt Collection Shops and will open some of its theaters today. The most exciting aspect of this buyout is the addition of an IMAX theater, which will finally bring this viewing experience back to the City of Chicago following the closure of the IMAX at Navy Pier. Construction for the Dolby Cinema at AMC and IMAX at AMC auditoriums will begin in May. While there is no set opening date for these premium experiences, AMC expects both to open by the end of summer. AMC Roosevelt Collection 16 will offer matinee shows before 4 PM and Discount Tuesdays.
One of a Kind Spring Show Starts Today
The One of a Kind Spring Show + Sale starts today, Friday, April 25, at THE MART and runs through Sunday, April 27.
This exhibition brings together 350 of the nation’s most talented creators under one roof, creating a unique shopping experience featuring hand-crafted and specialty items, original artwork, gourmet food offerings, live music, and hands-on activities.
The show operates from 10 AM–7 PM on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 AM–5 PM on Sunday.
Tickets start at $15. Children 12 and under are free.
Electric Shuffle Chicago Opening May 2
Electric Shuffle, located at in River North at 488 N La Salle Dr, is a bar, restaurant, and gaming spot featuring high-tech shuffleboards. The venue offers all-inclusive and event options for 15-250 guests, in addition to regular happy hours.
Machine Cocktail Bar Opening May 13
Machine Hospitality Group is launching its third location within a three-block radius: Machine Cocktail Bar. Their current spaces in River North include Headquarters and Dearly Beloved.
Machine Cocktail Bar will be located at 213 W. Institute Place and will feature a 3,500-square-foot space with botanical vibes throughout the dining room and bar areas, highlighted by lush greenery and floral installations. The new restaurant and bar will be open daily, with live music performances on Fridays and Saturdays.
