Labor Day is basically Summer’s Last Hurrah.  Make it tasty with these beverages!

Blackberry Soda

Non-Alcholic Blackberry Soda. Sauce it up with Vodka & a Mint leaf.

Non-Alcholic Blackberry Soda. That way grandma won’t fall out of her chair.  Nor will she notice if you choose to make yourself a “saucy’ version of this drink.

Recipe from Imbibe Magazine 

1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
1/2 cup fresh lemon verbena leaves, loosely packed
2 pints fresh, ripe blackberries
Ice cubes
Soda water (Hines uses Fever Tree)

Want to get saucy this holiday weekend?  Add 2 oz (a shot) of Vodka and a mint leaf or two.

Cherry Lime Spritzer

Cherry Lime SpritzerDivine Caroline has a series of great suggestions for you!  So drink up.

3 cherries
2 lime wedges
3 oz. Slim Lizzy’s Margarita
.25 oz. grenadine
1 oz. club soda

Muddle cherries, limes and simple syrup in a glass
Shake & strain Slim Lizzy’s Margarita & grenadine over fresh ice
Top with club soda
Garnish with lime wheel and a cherry
