One of the greatest cohesive tools for navigating and exploring Chicago is The Local Tourist. There’s a lot going on this city and it can be hard to keep up. So while MetroMix & Thrillist are also great, today I am featuring a fellow local blogger. Initially a waitress, The Local Tourist turned her love for Chicago into a success story. And it’s impressive. What’s so great about this website is that there is truly an element of what’s local and what’s going on, not necessarily what’s the most news-worthy or flashy. She really does her homework. There are categories on everything from shopping to restaurants, events and more. You can search for something specific or just look for something fun.
