I recently decided to splurge on a wine and tried 90+ Cellars’ Pinot Noir.  I love Washington/Oregon white wines and decided I would see what one of my favorite red varietals might taste like.  I was pleasantly surprised, intrigued even by the difference in flavor.  It was fruit-forward, well balanced and very drinkable.  I even got a slight sense of effervescence.  It’s a great cocktail wine or something to enjoy in the evening with friends.

90+ Cellars describes it as:

“Forward cherry and red fruit aromas precede more subtle flavors of violets, damp earth and mocha. On the palate, the wine shows lush tannins and lively acidity. The cherry fruit, earth and floral aromas combined with a firm, but well balanced texture makes this wine a particularly nice pairing for your holiday meals and gatherings.”

You can pick it up at Binny’s where it’s reasonably priced at $16.99 for a standard 750ml bottle.

It’s also directly available from the 90+
Cellars website for $18.99
