ImageTrue to Wednesdays being a highlight of the month, I am excited to introduce the “Read of the Month.”  While we’re all busy, it’s important to read books, articles, stories – whatever educates us and opens our minds.  I truly believe that being a good business person is going to help you be more successful, no matter what field you work in.  For event planners, it’s important to think like an entrepreneur – to develop your own business and to continue to being able to think like your clients and competitors to be able to empathize with their needs and then give them exactly what they never realized they wanted.

This New York Times Bestseller is a read you’ll have to pay attention to.  I’m starting it myself this month and it’s no Bossy Pants (by Tina Fey) but it is a great book so far.  I encourage you to push your knowledge of successful business and read along with me this month!
